This Thai-born powerhouse has taken the Japanese anime music scene by storm, captivating fans around the globe with her commanding vocals and heartfelt performances. Since her official debut with Lantis in 2020—singing “BLUE ROSE knows” for By the Grace of the Gods—MindaRyn has become a trusted voice behind some of the most iconic anime and tokusatsu1 theme songs in recent years.
With titles like That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime (“Like Flames,” “Way to Go”), Arifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongest, and the upcoming new Ultraman Omega theme “Missing Link” under her belt, she continues to shine as one of today’s most beloved anisong2 artists. “Like Flames,” in particular, has surpassed 40 million streams, firmly establishing her global appeal.

On June 7, 2025, she delivered a show-stopping performance at ANISAMA WORLD 2025 in Manila, lighting up the New Frontier Theater with her hits like “Like Flames,” “Fireworks,” and collaborative stages—including “We Are!” and “Bokura no Spectra” with Hiroshi Kitadani, among others—brought the crowd to their feet, showcasing her dynamic stage presence and trilingual charm.

Now, as part of her first-ever world tour, Hello New Friends, MindaRyn is set to bring that same energy and emotion to NärCon Sommar 2025 in Linköping, Sweden, from July 24–27! Fun fact! She was also the one who drew all the illustrations for the poster!

Ahead of her appearance, thanks to the Dumpling Box team in Manila, we caught up with MindaRyn as she was gearing up to perform at ANISAMA WORLD 2025 in Manila to talk about her musical journey, her impressions of Sweden, and what surprises await her fans in Sweden.
As she prepares for her very first appearance in Sweden, MindaRyn speaks candidly about her expectations, her impressions of the country, and her hopes for meeting European fans face-to-face.
“Honestly, I still haven’t done much research on Sweden,” she laughs. “But in my mind, I picture a place full of nature. Even the cities—I imagine them looking like movie scenes. Beautiful, calm, surrounded by greenery. Brick buildings, mountains, and wild trees—that’s the vibe I’m getting.“
This will be her third time visiting Europe, following past appearances in Germany and Poland, but her first time in Scandinavia. And one of the things she’s most curious about? “The people! I really want to know—are otakus in Europe different from the ones in Asia? I’m really looking forward to finding it out!”
As a food lover, she’s also eager to explore the local flavors. “When I hear ‘Sweden,’ I can’t actually picture what typical Swedish food is like. That makes me even more curious! I definitely want to try something traditional—and if possible, visit a nature spot or two. And, also shopping,” she adds with a grin. “But the prices with the exchange rate are a little scary, so we’ll see.“
Despite her growing global success, MindaRyn remains grounded in her love for community. In the accompanying Dumpling Box interview, she opened up about the emotional balance of being an anisong singer—how something that once brought her pure joy has become both work and passion. “When anisong becomes work, the relaxation you feel from listening to it changes,” she explained. To cope, she often turns to music outside her genre, like Norwegian artist AURORA. While anime is one of her worlds, “Queendom” is a personal anthem for her—”a song about creating your own world and inviting others to live in it. That’s how I see myself.”
So what does she want to say to her Swedish and European fans ahead of NärCon?
“I’m so excited! It’s my first time in Sweden, and I’d be overjoyed if fans not just from here, but from all across Europe, come to see me at NärCon Sommar. Let’s make unforgettable memories together!“

Curious about her music?
MindaRyn recommends starting with “Like Flames“—a rock track with powerful English lyrics and emotional depth. In her recent Dumpling Box interview, she also opened up about the emotional complexity of being an anisong singer, her admiration for composer Yuki Kajiura, and her dream of singing for the NieR series.
Released July 21, make sure to also look forward to her new song “Missing Link,” which features ASH DA HERO’s ASH and will be used as the ending theme of Ultraman Omega (aired July 5, Saturday).
From high-energy anthems to orchestral dreams, MindaRyn’s musical journey is just beginning—and Swedish fans are about to witness it live.
