Japanese vocalist and song writer SAI is currently crowd funding her European tour. SAI will visit a number of countries including Sweden where she will perform in Stockholm on July 1, 2023.
SAI was born and raised in Tokyo. She formed a post-punk trio called Ms.Machine in 2015. The band has performed with both Japanese and western artists including Australian post punk bands like TOTAL CONTROL and UBIK. The band released a self titled debut album in 2021.
In the summer of 2019 SAI started a solo act. As such she has performed with analogue electronics improviser and vocalist Phew as well as with hip-hop artist Akko Gorilla.
SAI recently released her first solo album 水中庭園 (Underwater Garden), which combines minimalist electronic music with spoken word and hip-hop.
